Once a season I do a houseplant tour to show you all that is going on with my plants and the latest updates. Here’s what’s going on in fall 2023!
By the way, you can check out all my previous tours in this playlist on my YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe to my channel too for more houseplant content!
Bedroom Plants
I just recently brought all my plants inside now that the nights are starting to get really chilly. Now that I have a little kitty cat to take care of (she makes an appearance in the video), I need to keep the plants away from her.
Some cats don’t care about plants—she’s not one of those cats. My plants are now either in something, on something, or hanging off something.
I hung my philodendron micans and nepenthes alata using this metal grid I had on hand. I needed them to hang a little lower than they would if they were hanging from the wall above the window, and this is what I could think of in a pinch.
Next, I put my monstera adansonii, pink syngonium, spider plant (bottom left, kind of hard to see), succulent, fishbone cactus, and monstera deliciosa cuttings on the top two shelves in my closet. I’m using two sets of my favorite grow lights for those.
Living Room Plants
Next are three terrariums:
- My vintage-style birdcage terrarium with spider plant babies, a pearls and jade cutting, and dried sphagnum moss that I’m reviving.
- An open terrarium in an old glass fishbowl with a bigger pearls and jade pothos inside
- A terrarium in a fishtank that has philodendron micans, lemon lime philodendron, and n’joy pothos cuttings; a string of hearts; and a ripple peperomia growing in water
Next is my neon pothos, hanging from an over-the-door hook on my balcony door. Then my monstera deliciosa on top of my greenhouse cabinet. Next to the monstera is my little plant mister moss terrarium.
Greenhouse Cabinet Plants
- Top shelf: N’joy pothos, string of pearls, and string of hearts cuttings.
- Middle shelf: String of hearts, string of turtles, an aloe of some kind, three baby black velvet alocasias I grew from corms, and two nepenthes ventricosa.
- Bottom shelf: Dieffenbachia camouflage, upside-down plant hanger with neon pothos, pink syngonium cuttings, and philodendron micans cuttings.
