Check out these six cheap and easy-to-make plant hanger ideas, because who doesn’t love hanging plants?!

This post was originally a video on my YouTube channel that I decided to make into a blog post a bit later. That means the photos are NOT the best because they’re screenshots from the video. Check out the video included in this post to see these ideas in action!

1. A simple basket hanger

Supplies:

  • Macrame cord, twine, whatever you have on hand
  • Dollar Tree woven catchall basket or something similar
  • Safety pins or glue to secure the cord to the basket

2. Add “flair” to an existing plant hanger

Supplies:

  • Basic macrame plant hanger—you can make or buy this
  • An item to hang it from to make it more unique. My example is an antler from an antique store. In the video I also suggest thinking about your hobbies—maybe a vintage wooden spoon if you’re a baker!

3. Mini straw basket hanger

Supplies:

  • Dollar Tree mini straw purse (found in the kids’ dress-up section) or something similar

4. Frame a plant
