3 Low-Light Plant Care Tips
- Less light = plants take longer to dry out. This means you should always check the soil moisture before watering rather than going off a plant’s “normal” care routine. Things are totally different in low light!
- Be careful about humidity. If you’re keeping your low-light plants in a bathroom or another humid area, you should be even MORE cautious when watering. With wet and humid conditions PLUS lack of light, the potential for overwatering and root rot is high. Only keep plants in humid areas that like to remain moist.
- LOW light doesn’t mean NO light. If there’s a very dark corner that you want to fill with a plant, be honest with yourself—could a plant TRULY survive there? If not, consider a grow light or a faux plant!
