The ONE Key to Success!

STEP 1: FIND A NODE

Identify a node on a healthy vine or stem. Find a few vines/stems with nodes if you can so you can take more cuttings!

Arrow

You will not be able to propagate a plant without including a node on the cutting. This is because new growth comes from the nodes.

The node is extremely important.

Step 2: MAKE THE CUT

Use a clean pair of scissors to cut below the node on the stem.

Step 3: Put the CUTTINGS IN WATER

Put your new cuttings in water, making sure the nodes are under the surface. You can also stick them into moist potting mix instead of water.

Now, put the cuttings back into bright, indirect light (or whatever light level your plant prefers).

Step 4: GIVE THEM LIGHT

Step 5: Let THEM GROW

It's time to let the cuttings do their thing! Soon you'll see tiny roots sprouting.

You can plant the cuttings into potting mix once the roots are two to three inches long.
